DJ Svoger, The Friday Track Week 7

GalaxyOur ‘Track of the Week’ is nothing less than a two hour handpicked classic disco and dance floor selection, merged into one giant groovy Megamix. The tracks are mostly rare re-edits, remixes, reworks or straight up bootlegs of old acquaintances … with a twist.

The hard part of this mix has been to search and select the right tracks for quite some time now, in an attempt to create a 2014 atmosphere, around these iconic and classy bangers.

Whether we have succeeded or not, is not for us to evaluate, but it has certainly been a lot of fun mixing all these great tracks together – and as always, with the great friends of DJ Svoger in mind.

Enjoy!

DJ Svoger, The Friday Track – Week 3

p01mx1pz

If any of you were around to remember Modern Talking, you’ll love (or hate) the beat of this weeks’ track: Tensnake’s “Love Sublime” (feat. Nile Rodgers & Fiora). (Also) German producer Tensnake undoubtedly found the inspiration for this track from Modern Talking. None the less, the $voger thinks it is awesome. It has that lovely 80’s feel (the chorus is SOS-band worthy), not least attributable to Nile Rogers’ unmistakable guitar riff. This is bound to make any disco-lovers day, week-end, week, month … Have a nice one!

DJ Svoger, The Friday Track, Week 39

Aretha Every friday throughout the year DJ Svoger provides you with new great music for the weekend. We love all kind of House music and usually we select one of the greatest house tracks, that we have listen to the most during the week – but some weeks we give more than just a single track… and this week is one of those weeks. By pure joy in reaching 15,000 Likes have we created a short funky MiniMix to make it up for track of the week, with a free download as a bonus.

In case you did not know, DJ Svoger consists of Morten Kjær and Lars Bernt and our birth certificates confirms, that we grew up with early disco and for many, many years it has been a wonderful part of our musical passion and the soundtrack to our everyday life.

That’s why the MiniMix this friday is dedicated to disco, funk, soul, groove and as a tiny tribute to the legend, The Disco Diva and Queen of Soul; Areatha Franklin – so it’s time to get it right with some new remixes of old classics in this DJ Svoger Friday MiniMix…

Have a truly fantastic funky disco weekend!

Sound of Sundays, vol. IV has arrived!

DistinoIt has been a great summer for DJ Svoger – we have collected loads of new great music, creating new plans for our future and enjoyed the clublife in Ibiza. But now we are back and we start with our Volume 4 of “The Sound of Sundays” mixtapes. This time we go back to the roots and the original idea, to keep it below 120 bpm, to hit the atmosphere as sunsets, days at the pool or drinks on the Balearic terrace can produce. We added some of the more classy, but reworked material into this edition, so you might discover that it’s slightly different than the previous releases – and as always, we hope you like it, download it and share it with all your friends…
